Hello. In blender I have modeled multiple animal in blender. Each animal has multiple animations in the one file as follows.
    Walk:1-20
    Idle:21-40
    Run:41-60
    Trot:61-80
    Attack:81-100
Each animal has it's own blender file and I have imported each. I have an animal behaviour script that does pretty much everything for the animals including animation and the animation selections are walk, idle, run, trot and attack so my question is how do I seperate these groups of keyframes in unity?

You should use actions in Blender. The animations are automatically split like that. You are going to avoid lots of issues like that.
