Question Blend animator into Timeline

    I it possible to blend animations from animator with animations from timeline?

    I would like the timeline to take over the character at some point. I would like the transition to the timeline to be smooth. Is it possible? I don't want to black screen for a while to hide the sudden change of animation.

    I've never tried it, but it should be possible in Animancer (link in my signature). It lets you blend Animator Controllers with other separate animations so you should be able to do the same with a Timeline (it's really just a question of whether or not the Timeline Playable can be blended). The Platformer example shows how to use a Timeline for its character introduction but it's 2D and I don't have the time right now to set it up with a 3D character to see if it will blend.

    Otherwise you could try just adding an extra state to your Animator Controller with the same animation as the start of your Timeline so you can blend to that state then snap to the Timeline.

    I did the test with Animancer and it works. Good asset. Thanks again.

    Timeline is blending with animation clips. Perfect!
