Blank Collab window

    Hey!no problems!If this can help you and all unity team to fix collab errors there is no problems .
    I did what you tell me and this is what i got:

    Does not work for me on Windows. I am Unity 2017.3. Tried all the steps above. Everything works fine on my mac computer which is in the same room. I am in the US.

    Hey @Jordi_Unitys! I'm so sorry for the late reply. Most of the team is just now coming back from holiday break. We're looking back into this issue now.

    Do other Collab-enabled projects on this machine also exhibit blank toolbars or does only this project have a blank toolbar?

    Hey @_nebulus_! I'm sorry that you're also running into this issue. Do other Collab-enabled projects on your main machine also have blank toolbars?

    Thank you for the update @Jordi_Unitys! There's one more thing I'd like you to try to help unblock you. Could you go here and download any version of 5.6 to your computer? Then, after opening that 5.6 version of Unity, go back to 2017.2 and open your project again and see if your Collab Toolbar is still blank.

    Same issue here. Tried everything in the forum. Im in France running 2017.3.1f1 Pro. Should I try updating my project to 2018.1 ?

    Hi,

    I have an issue with the collab window.

    All the Services windows works, but Collab still black (see screenshoot).
    I have try all the method of this post, nothing works.

    The other computers on the office don't have any problems.

    Some advice ?

    Problem on Unity 2017, 2018.1.3 and 2018.1.4 (SSD / HDD no change)
    PC on Windows 10 last update
    Asus P8z77-v
    I7-3770
    Quadro K4200
    32go ddr3

    Hi,

    I have an issue with Collab too, when I click the Collab button the window opens without any problems but when i type something in the changes field it just gets blank. Publishing works when i don't type anything.
    I'm using Unity 2018.2.1f1, Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS.

    Experiencing this as well in 2017.1.4 on OSX. What is the recommended workaround?

    Hi @Foxxis. I'd first recommend that you upgrade your project to at least 2017.2.0f1. If you can't do that then please try each of the following to see if any of them resolve your issue:
    1. Turn off firewall and proxies.
    2. Check if firewall allows these domains through:
      *.unity.com
      *.unity3d.com
      *.cloud.unity3d.com
      *.*.amazonaws.com
      *.pubnub.com
    3. Check if running more than one instance of Unity.
    4. Delete your Packages folder:
      (Mac) <username>\Library\Unity\Packages
      (Windows) <username>\AppData\Roaming\Unity\Packages
    5. Delete the files in:
      (Windows) AppData\LocalLow\Unity/Browser\Cache\Local Storage
      (Mac) <username>\Library\Unity\Browser\Cache\Local Storage
    6. Re-download project from Cloud.
    7. Check if http://localhost:38000/unity/service/collab/localChanges returns anything

    Hi,

    I have the same problem with 2018.4.2f1 version. Collab enabled but Collab tab shows blank.
    Tried all your methods above still same.

    Hi @Vanabee, could you open the Package Manager and tell me which version of Unity Collaborate you're using? Do you see the blank toolbar even in other projects or in just one?

    Hi @GenOli, have you tried any of the following to see if they bring back the Collaborate Toolbar?
    1. Turn off firewall and proxies.

    I'm getting totally blank collab window in 2019.4.11f1. Never happened before this morning. Now I can't publish changes. I've restarted several times.

    Hello,

    I have the same issue with Unity 2019.3.12f1, on Windows 10.

    I was publishing change everyday without problems but today i'm facing this issue.

    Checked all this. Yes, http://localhost:38000/unity/service/collab/localChanges returns a list of recent changes. But the collab window is still blank. Even starting a new project from scratch, I can't set up collab because the window is blank.

    Same with Unity Version 2018.4.20f1

    I changed nothing and it just randomly decide to be blank, I try mostly of all fixed, the link (http://localhost:38000/unity/service/collab/localChanges) is working fine, I already deleted the stuff in appdata and redownload the cloud project

    None of the solutions on this thread work for me. Very frustrating. To confirm, the local changes URL works for me and correctly lists the changed files in json format. Can we please get to the bottom of this?

    Collab still Blanck : problem here too ... ! i ve follow all steps to fix that . nothing ... still black and i must deliver work for 2 hours ... :s
    is there a general solution ?

    I canNOT deactivate or activate COLLABORATE there is no more Button

    i will cry
    every day i find problems for many hours lost ...

    I can confirm this is occurring for me on every version of Unity I have installed and on every project - from 2017 to 2019.

    Same here, same problem on 10 machines starting this morning "publish" button does not appear.

    It has happened for me all of a sudden. Is it not going to be a server cert issue like mentioned earlier?

    Server issue? it look like the toolbar have a small loading time like it was trying to connect to something but it was not able, I don't know nothing about how it work, I just say what im thinking ^^

    Thought I had done something terribly wrong. Could this have something to do with Unity's recent promotion for Plastic SCM?

    (I need to migrate my project very urgently, so I just signed up for Plastic SCM and it suggested the project would be unavailable during the migration...)

    Same here today, Unity version 2019.2.19f1. Can´t collab, just blank screen, I tried re-open project, delete Appdata packages, re-login but nothing work guys! Common fix it please :) Need to collab

    Hey so a team I'm working on is having a similar blank collab window issue. Our project is on version 2020.1.8f1 and whenever we first pull up unity at the beginning of the day the collab window is blank (icons are still there but not text, text fields, or buttons), but when we close it and reopen the collab window fixes itself. The problem is everyday we have to open Unity, close, re-open to resolve this issue and we don't know why it's happening. We are using custom editor and windows for some tools that we built so it could be related to that?

    @ryanc-unity I'm still facing the blank collab window issues

    I'm using a Mac with Unity 2019.4.15f1

    I already did the following
    1. Delete your Packages folder:
      (Mac) <username>\Library\Unity\Packages
    2. Delete the files in:
      (Mac) <username>\Library\Unity\Browser\Cache\Local Storage
    3. Re-downloaded project from Cloud.
    4. The http://localhost:38000/unity/service/collab/localChanges is returning a JSON response with the changes
    Any suggestions?

    For me, these files are not looking like this..for example i dont have the collab history part, or the name is null.
    for me, the problem now is that the history panel is just blank grey. but the rest is perfectly working. I can add or download modifications from the collab. But i cant see the history.
