Bit of advice for my 2D RPG game

    heres what im having a problem with

    when i have the player attack the enemy its calculating the damage for both the player and the enemy but it is not taking off any health anyone make suggestions?

    I think you need to apply banana first. let me know if that doesn't work.

    Unless you are asking if we think you should take the health off, no one can actually help you with the total lack of information you gave us. If you are asking, I say, go ahead and remove the health.

    Banana? Are you insane? This is clearly a case for kumquat!

    Go over to the scripting forum and try posting you script there.

    Also ignore these two trolling with discussions about fruit. Unity Technologies have clearly indicated that bacon is more effective for bug fixing.

    For 2D rpg... why not use RPG Maker instead. It's a very powerful program that has most of basic RPG mechanics done and if you don't like default systems you can either adjust or completely replace them using scripts.

    we were doing it for a project for uni and just kept getting problems with it xD i was thinkin of trying rpg maker suggest any good versions?

    It feels odd to be the serious one in the room.

    Are those variables public? You can check in the inspector if health is being taken off but it's just not showing anywhere. You can also use Debug.Log("blah") in the damage code to make sure it's actually running.
