    -delete- was a cache issue

-edit- just in case anyone reads this and updates to p24 and have conflicts with the old components (eg PositionComponent) and new proxies (eg PositionProxy) GUID I had to do a full cache clear and reimport to get it working.

Yeah i was struggling with this too. Clearing the packages is just not enough.

How do you exactly do "cache clear"? Is this in editor?

Cache folders are located in Project/Library folder, so deleting the Library folder itself should fix the problem.

This is recommended for fresh/empty project, but if you want to delete specific packages, go to Project/Library/PackageCache folder and delete the conflicting packages.

Unfortunately deleting just the PackageCache did not fix the issues when upgrading to p24 for me.

Ooh though I'm not sure about it too, It's just the way I clear caches whenever I update stuff from Unity PacMan. Is there a proper way of clearing package cache in Unity?

I just had to clear the entire library folder, just the package cache folder did not help.
Unity has recognized this issue as a bug in other thread.

I can verify that what @tertle mentioned works. I just deleted the Library folder and it did the trick.

Anyone else also getting a similar error for the ComponentDataWrapper after updating to Entity 24? I have cleared cache and libraries and reimported all packages and samething

    Code (CSharp):
    1. CharPredictedStateComponent.cs(131,44): error CS0246: The type or namespace name 'ComponentDataWrapper<>' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)

After updating Entities to 24 and clearing the cache, I also had to update the rendering package in package manager.

It's changed to ComponentDataProxy. You need to do a batch rename.

I kept thinking it was the wrong notes, too. It throws you off since it says 0.0.22 and then also says a date of August 2018 and people refer to it as "update/preview .24"
