    Hello From Canada!!

I'm excited to announce that I have finally completed my epic puzzle platformer "Big Fun". I'm posting a gameplay video below and would love to hear your thoughts on the finished game. Please post your comments and thoughts as your feedback is invaluable. I'm also happy to answer any questions if want to know any details of the programming I did to drive this.

    THE GAME

Meet Ty, the adorable "bug" that's afraid of heights. His best friend is a snail, and they never leave the ground. But when his family is captured by stink beetles he's forced on an incredible adventure to get them back.

Swing, spin, and shoot your way through the magical lands using your web grappling hook. Meet strange insects and escape fierce enemies. Travel in bubbles, or catch a ride on a dragonfly or roach when needed. Even though our hero is small, it's tremendously Big Fun.

Big Fun is a family friendly platformer with a unique grappling hook mechanic. With a huge variety of levels, enemies, and puzzles that will keep you laughing.

Looks good! Nice mechanic with the grappling hook.

What do you mean by "finally"? How much time did it take to complete this game?

Lol, Thanks for the response! It's something I've been working on and off for a couple years. Just in my spare time. I also gave up a couple times as well, so there were periods where nothing was being worked on at all. I wrote versions in Objective C with box 2d and then with apple's version of 2d physics but encountered limitations I couldn't overcome. After deciding Unity was a better fit for me the project got considerably easier.

I did the full development myself so there were learning curves with creating the artwork as well. I used affinity designer for all the artwork.

This made me smile a lot, really great job. Some of the enemy designs reminds me of Rayman, like the mosquito for example.

I really like this thus far! It seems really polished, and I agree, the grapple mechanics and the physics seem super fun! Hope it continues to do well.

Great work D. You've really captured - what looks like - the fun that we used to remember in some of the classical games of old, and even some of the newer games as mentioned above.
Really great looking characters and aesthetics overall.

What are you doing for marketing - beyond posting in the development forum?
Wish you luck with this and all future work.
