Is this the result of Graveck Interactive talent? I always thought it was lame that BB Board Games wasn't REAL 3D. But now a 3D version is in open beta--using Unity? http://www.insidemacgames.com/news/story.php?ID=14840
Sadly, it is not done with Unity. I downloaded the beta and took a look into the game bundles. They do not look like games created with Unity.
I see--maybe Freeverse thought the same thing I did and has been adapting the original 2D game code to 3D for some time. Just wondered. It SEEMED too quick after Graveck's BB Brain Games, but with Unity you never know how fast a project can move... Luckily OS X comes with 3D chess
Ok, so maybe it's not done in Unity. For the sake of comparison are there any clues as to what tool was used to develop them?
They were using straight OpenGL for the last version of big board games so i presume they are still doing that for this title since they are only updating it.
