    Wow nasos... we wrote a lot around christmas/new years because of my bachelor thesis where I used SkyMaster. I am really happy to see, that you have made a lot of progress since then. Can't really wait for the SkyMaster 4.0 release :)

    Hopefully the release will be next month, the clouds are already done and need minor additions, they have shadows and reflections in water, all integrated.

    The FFT water is also getting close, the main module is done and remains to integrate in the Configurator.

    The GPU particles will come later in v4.x cycle, the base is also almost done and working though, but i want to go the extra mile in this one to offer truly massive effects at lowest performance cost possible and ideally support mobile too with it.

    I haven't purchased SkyMaster yet... was curious if this applies to a new purchase.

    I think now may be the perfect time to grab it. It looks amazing. (I'm that guy who constantly comments on facebook and youtube btw lol)

    Also another alternative is that if you buy InfiniGRASS, i can send a Sky Master voucher (upgrades to Sky Master ULTIMATE for $10), so you can have both assets for $70 (than $150)

    So I'd get InfiniGRASS, then buy the original Sky Master and upgrade it for the 10?

    Sky Master ULTIMATE v4.0 Beta WIP - New water and clouds

    The Beta of the new water and clouds is coming early next month and both systems are ready for production and need minor polishing (some options to enable cloud reflections, which are also 100% working, synch with cloud shadowing and minor GUI related enhancements)

    I like these new screenshots and I really appreciate all of the work you put into this asset. Although I will say one thing that prevented me from purchasing Sky Master for a long time is how unnatural your screenshots and demos of the water are. You always seem to pick this weird shade of bright blue that sort of makes the ocean look like gelatin (to me). And the waves have an odd, geometric pattern to them. They seem very alien to me. They make a good alien-looking ocean, but I think you might benefit from showing a few screenshots that look more natural.

    @nasos_333 sorry for the delay, I tried purchasing it today through my grandfathers Chase VISA and they declined it demanding more information. Ill need to wait for a day I can call the costumer support... I feel really awful taking forever on this.

    Strangely it deducted 60 dollars from my grandfathers account even tho it said I needed more info before making the purchase...

    Ill have to call the bank monday and look into this. Again I'm really sorry for wasting your time

    Thanks for the input. Let me know of a specific target you would like and i could try to come up with a demo for it. The water is very customizable, so having a target is easier to focus on one look for example.

    Would you say any of the the above images are closer to what you would like to have in the more realistic case ?

    3rd one is fantastic! And I love most of these...

    I think my only critique is that overall I lot of the images you showed off in the past seem to be inconsistent in quality and may scare people away. When I see fantastic stuff like this I want the assets more then anything tho.

    That is the tricky thing about making a system as customizable as mine, you can get any look but need a bit more work to get there, in tweaking. I will try to offer more demos and presets though that will better showcase the system as it moves ahead. Also in combination with InfiniGRASS, that adds another layer of beauty in the scenes due to the grass shaders and lighting.

    Those do look better, but I still think that the water looks tinted blue, rather than being clear, especially number 2, which looks like the water is glowing. The fifth one, with the fog looks the most natural to me. Is the water tinted at all? I loaded up the demo to try and make a preset that looked more natural to me, but the water always remained bright blue.

    Again, I think you're doing great work with this and I've already purchased the asset (and InfiniGRASS), but whenever I think about using it, I think about using it for some alien planet or abstract landscape, rather than a natural one.

    Have you played with the global tint offset parameter ("Depth Color Offset" in the configurator) ?

    Maybe that is why you get the tint, there is definitely a way to do the water crystal clear, though it is 5 parameters that may affect that, including the tint offset, water and reflection color, transparency factor and Fresnel factor (plus fog in the latest shader)

    UPDATE on GPU Particle Fields system:
    I have now enabled GPU instancing in the system and can do 1 million particles with ease. I expect to optimize it much more as well. Snowstorms will soon be like the real thing :).

    Also i plan to integrate it with the terrain depth rendering system for advanced collisions and accumulations or other cool effects.

    I am working around the clock on both systems, the Sky Master is closer to release and Beta for the grass should come this month hopefully, i have now verified the pooling works for both the old and new placement methods and this allows very big versatility in the system, e.g. in the same system can have pooled items with exact placement and orientation (like trees, vines) and blanket like covering brushes like wide grass fields in one single mesh, which can also be pooled.

    Also the GPU instancing is adding an extra layer of performance for the case where lots of placement detail is required per grass brush, because brushes can be smaller for more detail, use pooling and receive extra optimization from the instancing.

    I am now doing the global configurator, where i streamline the setup for planting terrains very easilly and configure materials globally and integrating in the system the special super detailed wind vertex grass so it can also be LODed as the rest of the grass and use the new ground covering system the best possible way. When those are done, i have to work a bit more on the grid update system (basically the grid definition is now a big matrix, but could probably be made in a tree like way for supporting infinite maps, since now i hardcode a map number which can be huge but not infinite) and add support for more than one interaction texture, for the case of infinite terrains that need to keep one texture per terrain for example.

    I own most of your tools, looking forward to the new stuff. Your tools are the only ones on the store from my experience that work well with every single platform.... Thanks for that. I fight with many tools to get to work with mobile, but not yours, they always work well for mobile. Which is great.....

    Looking forward to InfiniGrass 2 as well.

    Thanks :). I always keep in mind the lower end platforms, the same will be in InfiniGRASS v2.0, the maximum required will be SM3.0 and not anything above that, for as global use as possible. Also even SM2.0 devices will benefit a lot from the new pooling system, since i offer all possible options in one unified scheme.

    Ya the big thing for mobile is about 38% of devices are still Open GL2.0, and almost every darn tool won't support it, right now, we do not have one single terrain shader that supports Open GL2.0... and its a night mare to deal with... I'm an artist, programmer, UX Designer, I can write shader code, but not some of the more complex ones, so would be great to see a lower end terrain shader for mobile....due to this.. No one supports it.. really.....

    So I have to keep them so simple.. which is bummer, so having grass support for older devices is great, as every other grass tool does NOT work for older devices besides InfiniGrass 1.
