It is designed multithread and use the power of your GPU to apply your set of painting rules and in few milliseconds, paints your entire landscape. This greatly improves your terrain creation workflow, both procedural and manual. Using this tool, you can paint everything, procedurally or manually with a powerful smart painter

    - Works on any Unity terrain and with any other terrain asset
    - Multiple terrain tiles natively supported
    - Ability to preview textures rules on terrain
    - Brush and splatmap rule presets
    - Extendable texture rule database
    - Realtime modifications of your splatmap directly from the editor
    - Lots of settings to customize
    - Fully integrability with other terrain tools
    - It is GPU powered and can be used at runtime

TerraPainter has been designed bearing in mind multitile terrain and large landscape.

That is exactly what I was looking for yesterday. Having the terrain painted automatically and in combination to that apply include rules for vegetation studio (e. g. grass texture is of course where grass spawns) would be such a time saver. First feature request in case it isn't planned yet :D

This is a very nice painter. It is quick and easy to set up and the results are very good. He has some extras in it that make it better than any texturing tool I have tried. I use World Creator Standalone for my terrains and after exporting the texturing from there, and not liking it very much, I tested Painter and it is very good. I have not played with the latest version but when I do I will post. I have used others, but they are slow and cumbersome to use and not very intuitive. Some just take ages to set up. Terra Painter is great for my low terrains, such as my meadows and for my hills and mountains. My past favorite tool, one that is very popular, gives me all kind of fits unless I have a terrain with extreme elevations. Not Terra Painter.

I am glad to announce the support for Vegetation Studio in TerraPainter. the net asset for GPU Procedural Splat Map Generation. You will be able to load your already existing Vegetation Studio Packages directly in TerraPainter keeping your setting but using all the power of GPU Generation

I have added a new feature to TerraPainter
you can apply up to 4 different texturing profile to your landscape painting the areas for each profile directly in your landscape change will happen and you can have what I think is a great control
TerraPainter works with single and multi tile unity terrain and you can use in combination with any Unity Terrain Tool like Gaia, TC2, WC2, etc

I sent you an email, but I guess others might be interested in the answer as well.

Using a splatmap, Terrapainter can apply up to 4 different texturing profiles to a landscape.

I am wondering if it is possible to feed Terrapainter these four profiles as well as a splatmap for a terrain?
I am building my huge (but not infinite) world procedurally using terrain tiles. In my entire world, I can have 256 different biomes - but for each specific terrain tile, I am limited to a selection of up to four biomes.

So it would be perfect if I could feed the four biomes or "texturing profiles" to Terrapainter along with a splatmap. Is it possible and is there an API for this?

Yes, that is possible. You can paint or just use any RGBA texture. And I will provide tool to handle different maps terrain related.

And Biomes work on multitile ...

4 tiles each one is 8000x8000 and biomes radius is 2000 ...always one colored texture as profile, but you can use whatever profile with all the rules we have implemented so far ...

    Enjoy

Hey . soon integration with Cascade will be live
TerraPainter will generate a biomes area from your Cascade Builder ( lake or river ) and use that for splatmap generation

    Hi!
I just purchased it. It is the kind of tools I love: straightforward and efficient.
Since the splat generation is realtime (at least on my machine) I was wondering if it was possible to generate them also when using terrain sculpting tools.
