Best Practices page in the User Manual now redirects to UnityLearn

I was dismayed to discover that the Best Practice Guide in the Unity Manual no longer has links to pages with clear and concise advice for avoiding issues with performance and project creation.

Instead, all the links now redirect to Unity Learn, which seems to be a far worse interface for this sort of information.

Will the entire user manual at some point be deprecated and replaced with Unity Learn?

No need for archive.org. The page is still up, even linked in the latest blog post:

If you open that link you’ll find this

“Note that the following links (below) lead to guides on Unity Learn Website”

Which is what I was talking about in the OP

 

Ahhh, that's... very strange.

I don't get why they're pushing everyone to Learn when everyone hates the way Learn presents information like this.

 

How bizarre it only shows the docs for me.

 

I think mine was cached since I had it open in another tab. When I did a force reload it gave me the learn page version.

 

If you look at the waybackmachine, the links seem to have led there in December last year as well, so I dont think this has just happened.
