Best practices for controller based pause/main menu

    Hi all -

    I'm using the new input system for a 4 player local cooperative game. Now that I have 4 players loaded and some core game play, I'm looking to add a main menu / pause menu to the game.

    Could anyone provide some best practices on how to switch from gameplay controls to a pause menu and vice versa with the new input system? I'm curious if I should be switching back and forth between action maps, controlling the flow of input based on some global boolean, or if there are other ways to accomplish this.

    I'm also unfamiliar with how to control pause menu UI with a controller, as I come from the world of mobile, and would appreciate any thoughts on how a controller based pause menu might work.
