Question Best approach to transition between normal gameplay in 3d and cinematics in 2d

    Hi,

    I'm currently developing an adventure game which contains some cinematics using the in-game engine.
    I would like to transition from normal VR to a short of cinema representation (see an example here
    ).

    I know how to render a texture and display it in a plane in front of the player's view, but I'm wondering if the transition effect shown in the video is possible in Unity, it seems to offset the defined rendering point of the headset.
