Im completely new to Unity and Game Dev And this Question probably gets asked a lot but where should I start? The questions I have are What version of unity should i start with? who's tutorial should I follow? Unity's official tutorials or a You-tuber's tutorial? What is a good way for beginners to learn unity?

If you are doing a tutorial, it is best to run the tutorial using the same version the tutorial was originally written for. Changes to Unity between versions can throw you off during a tutorial if something has moved, or with large jumps if an entire system has been deprecated and replaced.

Otherwise use the latest tech or latest LTS release. Though right now they are basically the same thing since Unity 2019.4 LTS released recently but the next tech release 2020.1 is still in beta, making 2019.4 the obvious choice.

Sometimes yes. That's why we usually advise against using 'the latest' version instead of the used in the tutorial. It can be confusing. Instead you should use the proper version, get comfortable and when you have some idea what is what, you can explore the newer versions so you don't get frustrated that you don't find things where you expect them.

Also is it enough to know C# ? Or do I need to learn something else? Like is unity scripting a tiny bit different from C# or something?

Well, there are some things which are special. Both for Unity and for game development. In general, no, but you will encounter "not-so-business-application-like" solutions only because we're rendering frames sometimes 60-90 times per second. And there are some "hacks" which you will need to explore, like "how to exploit the IEnumerable to do things in every frame". And if you will be a loner developer, it is good to know a lot of stuff, like audio, graphics, color theory, those kind of things :)

Not different from C# (this is real C#), but different from the usual way you develop a standalone C# application. As an example, in Unity using the MonoBehaviour system your code attaches as components to gameobjects. You don't use the "new" keyword to create an instance of a MonoBehaviour derived class, instead the instance of the gameobject your code is attached to handles that for you. This can be weird at first.

Hey , i'm new in Unity and i'm trying to make a little 2D platforms game. Right now i'm having some issues adding new tile palette that i createed, firs it doesnt worked beacause i didnt know i had to slice it in the sprite editor then i found it and sliced all the tiles manualy but the work is not perfect and it looks so ugly ingame. Also have problems with my camera that is linked to the main character but it is too low.
I don't kwon if i'm really clear but i'm a beginner with technologies (i have my own computer since only one year) and this is also my first post on a forum so if someone can tell me how to slice the tiles perfectly or move the camera i would be so glad (also the mini game is running on Unity 2017.2.0f3)
