    Hi,

    Been waiting more than 10 days already for a Unity asset I uploaded to get added to the store. I worked hard and wrote scripts that add important functionality to the Gear VR controller that oculus conceptually should have added. These are much more affordably priced than the other option on the store now and I believe these scripts can benefit Unity to be more profitable as a platform for Gear VR. I most certainly would have liked to have had them before I went through all the work of writing them.

    Hoping to sell a bunch of copies this weekend and next week to boost the cash flow for rent next month.

    Thanks in advance for having a look and making sure it's getting on the store before the weekend!

    Publisher Name is GODHEAD INC
    Asset title is: GEAR VR CONTROLLER FAST AND EASY

    Only 10days ...It's not unusual to wait 20-30 days which appears to be the average from what others say. (search the forums) plus there is the whole GDC which everyone is busy with so with that I think it should be expected that it would take even longer.

    Your in a queue - and asking nicely doesn't speed up the process. o_O The average wait time used to be between 10-20 days - now 20-30 is common.
    And since GDC is happening - agree with Thermodynamics ^^ don't expect it before another 10-20 more days to finally show up.

    Well, I think the OFFICIAL statement from Unity corp was that it would be a maximum of 10 days to process and get My new asset on the store. I most DEFINITELY didn't see 20-30 anywhere on the official Unity docs, because I possibly would have used fastspring or similar instead.

    I have already read other threads where Unity employees said that there had previously been some internal processing errors on some people's asset submissions before. Thus, the Unity employees were personally having a look to make sure assets mentioned in those threads were getting processed faster.

    Don't pollute the thread with naysaying from 3rd parties. I know 20-30 days is DEFINITELY NOT any sort of official number. It's MUCH shorter than that!

    Only need replies from official Unity reps on this thread.

    Warning pollution ahead;

    The "official" Unity Corp statement;
    https://support.unity3d.com/hc/en-u...ong-will-it-take-for-my-Asset-to-be-approved-
    Nowhere in the "official" Unity Corp statement is the word "maximum".

    Warning more pollution ahead;

    Yes official statement is approximately 10 working days but "Official" statement does not reflect reality.
    Look closer - other who have come to the forum to complain like you have waited more than 20 days. It is not uncommon, regardless of the 'official' statement.

    Envoking "official Unity reps" doesn't magically bring Unity reps to a thread.
    And I'm glad to share - beyond your desire to limit forum user input and control a thread you authored - you can't demand only Unity reps respond in a public thread. :confused::cool:

    If you only want an official response then the best way to get that is to contact them directly.

    1st: chill pill 500mg twice a day for the rest of the duration of the review process...

    2nd: support@unity3d.com it can take up to 5 business days to get an answer. This is their official channel to take care of business lile this.

    3rd: have you created all the content needed to market tour upcoming asset? Video tutorials, screenshots etc...

    4th: I hope you're not undersellimg your work and undercutting heavily competing assets, this is a detrimental view on how to do business on the store...

    It's been Sakura season here, so I was away for a few days.

    Thanks for the helpful replies!

    So anyway, a "reviewer" emailed...and requested to add an example scene...RIDICULOUSLY. The scripts are an addon to the oculus utilities and the person (or was it a bot???) emailed saying that I should add an example scene...HOW to add an example scene when it's seemingly not legal to include the oculus utilities in the asset???!!!

    Honestly the asset store review employee seemed scarily similar to those horrible responses by outsourced employees in india on microsoft support forums...those horrible responses that are completely unrelated to the questions and have no use being posted and so on.

    I really, REALLY hope that Unity will NEVER, EVER outsource ANY of its employment to india or any similar nations...I like Unity and want it to continue to be a great product. So hopefully it was just one lazy employee not noticing the VERY clear and concise instructions I included in the scripting asset.

    Ouch! From previous detailed experiences you can respond to the email - explaining the dilema with including the oculus utilities. They should come back with more detailed, human delivered suggestions.

    @theANMATOR2b No point in defending the Unity customer/store service and its communication, especially if you're not even employed by them. It's been slipping for years, and I can totally picture the lazy formal response OP got.
    Unity needs to take the criticism.

    Thanks for both replies.

    @theANIMATOR2b: Emailed a reply first day. The employee didn't reply.

    @Gregoriik: Have been noticing...mildly concerning. Maintaining employee agility is VERY important. Cool for people to be friends and so on...yet still need to be serious about making a nice product for the User and a pleasant User experience. Especially ridiculous when a person goes through the hassle to make a good product to sell on the company store and a Unity employee drops the ball. Truly hoping those store employees aren't outsourced and sitting in india or a similar nation near india.

    Agree - I'm not defending them, only suggesting OP might get a more thought out, human readable response if he pesters them enough. :D
