Creating a VR game on a Quest 1. The problem I'm encountering is that baked shadows lag behind the rest. That means if I move my head, it looks like the shadows move a bit slower than everything else. It's a very weird effect and more visible in darker scenes. It's if the lightmap is drawn a few frames later than everything else. I see this when running the game stand alone, and when running it in the Editor on my PC. It breaks the immersion...

I also have a Quest 2, I'll check later if it has the same problem.

But what could be causing this?

I am guessing this is because the quest 1 used OLED
If you have something dark next to something bright it is fine, but if you have different shades of dark materials and move fast it will slug behind.

If it also happens on quest 2 (LCD) there indeed is an issue

Yes you are absolutely right.I just checked the Quest 2 and don't see this problem. Too bad since the OLEDs are otherwise superior to the LCD displays of the Quest 2 (in my opinion). There's so much more contrast. Dark scenes don't exist on the Quest 2. Only grey scenes.
