    hi all!
i'm building a rally simulator and my big problem is due to the low fps caused by a big map with a lot of objects like trees that create shadows..
I wish test to bake the lights to have the shadows precalculed, but I didn't reach to do this in a right way

and a question.. it's possible bake the lights runtime? my goal is: I set a time of the day, I place the sun in a certain position with a light color etc.. after I wish bake the lights that will be static during the race.

    it's possible this?

    thanks

Awesome. Yeah here's another link too, if the first is confusing or something.

You'll notice massive improvement in performance once you start baking your lighting down to static lightmaps. You can still get shadows and reflections in real time, but that's done via baked probes and is another discussion we can have.
