    Greetings,

I found some transparent png files I want to use on help screens in my game but when I pull them into Unity they are not showing up as transparent. What am I missing?

I don't think your texture is actually transparent. It looks like the checkerboard thing is actually part of the image. Where did you get the images from?

PraetorBlue is correct. Your images - which I found via googling for the names here and here - aren't
actually transparent (don't have an Alpha channel).

Okay that makes sense. Besides buying some from the asset store, any idea where I could find some?

For something simple like the one on the left, I would probably just draw it myself using GIMP.

Otherwise, search around google for free images. Just be aware of any licensing on any images you download and use in your game. Look for images that are free for commercial use or CC0 or other permissible license and abide by their licensing terms if you use the image (for example, attribution, etc.)
