Audio Audio timeline and syncing

    I am building a game that will require specific events to execute and be made available for execution at specific points in a song track.

    So my question is, what is the best way to make sure my music is synced to action in my game during real time game play. For example, I want to be able to start an animation at exactly the 2:08 point of a song. What tool do I use to guarantee that this animation will execute at the 2:08 point of a song not the 2:08 point of the game play.

    I have scoped out Unity's timeline tool and that looks like a good option, but what would other members who have maybe encountered this problem suggest?
