Inspired by The V Motion Project I want to see what Unity3D is capable of.

    $screenshot.jpg

This is a very early version and now features:
    - oscillators
    --- sinus
    --- sawtooth
    --- square
    --- triangle
    - note on mouse x pos
    - lowpass filter cutoff on mouse y pos
    - delay + reverb effect
    - audio data visualization with some camera effects

    Upcoming features
    - add GUI for
    --- adjust wave type
    --- adjust base note
    - add extra effects
--- LFO (Amplitude or Low Pass Filter)
    - kinect controller
    --- adjust note
    --- adjust effects
    - add drum loops
    - add visualizers
    - and probably a lot more :)

Let me know what you guys think of it!

Nice start. I've messed around with some vaguely similar stuff in the past but usually end up getting distracted.

In my experience the Kinect wasnt actually as much fun for this sort of application as I'd hoped. Somewhat tiring, imprecise and when I tried it a long time ago there was a bit too much latency (although that may be much better now, not sure).

These days I'm messing around with a multitouch windows 8 monitor instead. But I think the Leap Motion has some potential, perhaps you'd consider trying that instead of the kinect once it is available!

What I've not done in my experiments is generate the sound using Unity. I've mostly been sending midi out from Unity to existing soft synths etc.

It´s a great idea. The V Motion P. is an incredible live and i´ll love to take something like that in my hands for Unity! Cool! Can I test your work?
