Hey guys, I'm pretty new to the whole audio thing but I'm trying to add some audio filters for my background music so it helps the immersion in certain situations. I played for quite some time with the filter components but I'm absolutly not happy with my results. Does anyone have some ideas which filter / settings could fit these situations: 1. Player is nearly death 2. Slowmotion them the player does massive damage to enemys. The game itself is pretty action packed like the God of War series for example. Thank you very much in advance
I have a blog post about how to make a low health audio filter that you might find helpful. https://johnleonardfrench.com/articles/create-a-low-health-audio-filter-in-unity-using-the-audio-mixer-transition-to-snapshots/
Off the top of my head, lowering the pitch of an Audio Source will lower the speed too which gives you the effect you want but might not be easily scaled across all sounds. There's is a pitch shifter effect on the Mixer but I think that this might also do some time correction, so you lose the slowmo effect. I'm not sure if there's a global control for pitch, I don't think that there is but someone, please, correct me if I'm wrong.
