Audio Clip - Force to mono

    Hi in the docs its says under audio clip properties its says "Force to mono If enabled, the audio clip will be down-mixed to a single channel sound." whats the dowmix math / pan math used here? thanks

    Not sure, but if you are asking if you can pan a mono track, of course you can.


    Mixing down to mono is compressing two channels of separate audio files, that are different, into one. Upon doing so, if you pan that, now mono file, it will pan. But what you hear is going to be identical to whether you pan left or right.

    hi thanks for posting. my question isn't about panning. Its about the math unity's audio system is using the combine the L signal and the R signal. I tested it on my side and it looks like %70.7 (-3dBu) I just wanted someone to confirm.
