assult rifle WIP

    hey everyone,

    I thought i would show off my first attempt to model a rifle. Its un textured , but the modleing is complete.

    Here it is. its 3.2k tris


    the image lost quite a lot of quality, but i still put it up.

    what do u guys think? suggestions and all comments are welcome

    Looks alright for sure, i think in a few places the sharp edges are a little to much, for eg ,the front end. All in all pretty decent.

    Is it for a fps ? If the answer is yes, I would try to have about 10k, since the weapons is something you are going to see a lot, you can use a more detailled model.

    Anyway, it's not bad, I assume with a decent normal map, it will start looking realy good. (for the normal map however you should smooth some of the hard edges a bit).

    Also the texture plays an important part, when you'll made one, you should re-post to show your work :)

    You should model H-poly to bake normal and AO maps.
