Asset Store

Ok so I got the free version and rather enjoy it. My question is(I realize it is probably written somewhere but I get confused at times lol) I can buy assets out of the store with thefree version yes? and my other question is, If I buy the asset can I use it for a published game? I mean I know it may sound dumb but I am making sure the assets are not for educational purposes only lol Like I want to buy a lot of them so I can use each and everyone I buy in my actual game?

You can buy things from the asset store and use the in the free version, yes. However, you should make sure to check the license of the specific asset to make sure you can use them in commercial projects

 

Yes to both questions, as I understand it.
However I think there are a few assets on the Asset Store that have special licensing. If an asset package does have special licensing, it will probably say so in the description.

Something additionally to keep in mind is that not all assets work in Free. Some may require Pro.

 

there is only 3 I am really looking at and one is the night day system, the weather system, and the underwater animal pack

But I cant find on either 3 if it says I can commercially use them or not lol

 

If they don't say anything about a special license, you can probably use them. Packages on the Asset Store are generally fine for commercial use.

 

See Appendix 1 of the Asset Store Terms of Service for the license that most of the assets are covered by (except those with special licenses). You can access it by scrolling to the bottom of the Asset store window.
