Unity has had their store for years and has had small focused sales for years. If they haven't determined the effectiveness by now then there is no hope for them.

Can't really show you a price amount of assets in a easy way or do I care to take time to do so honestly lmao.
Here is a screen shot of my account. 44 pages with 25 assets on a page. 1100 Assets at the moment.
This is just the asset store. I of course have assets from subcontracted work out side of Unity.
Also I hardly have any free assets. Maybe 6 or so.
I buy a lot of huge packs like Monsters, aliens, large doodad and building packs.

Hey there. Can I ask you a question? You could hire your own person for an entire year for that amount to do nothing but create custom assets for you full time. Why would you spend it on the asset store instead? I don't mean any disrespect. I'm just a little taken aback by the number there.

If you hire one person for a year, that person won't do this many assets in a year from scratch. We can buy assets on a low price because we all pay for them so the artists can have their money and we all can have the asset.
It is usually incredibly expensive (obviously depends on what we're talking about) to have unique assets.

And you did open with the "what the heck". You know, if you want to give feedback write for the Asset Store support an email on the proper language that you disagree with their sales-tactic, and maybe it wouldn't be seen as hostile, shooting from the hip and completely ridiculous.
But instead of that you chose to try to mock Unity because of the sales which doesn't offer what you're looking for.

This is... pointless. Sales happen often and are different. Contact the asset store if you have suggestions. Closing.
