    Hello!

I know that in 2019.3 the package manager will allow asset store purchases to be managed, which is awesome news.

However. Does this mean every asset must be purchased individually for every user that uses the unity project, since each local copy downloads the package? Or will these packages be stored under the Assets folder like normal, but still have the features that other packages have?

    Thanks
    Josh

    Hi!

For current asset store purchases, in 2019.3, you will be able to download and install them thru Package Manager UI. We don't change where you install it, it will be still in Assets folder.

Ah gotcha :D :D thank you! Will we be able to select specific versions to install, just like packages?

We do filter the list based on what is supported per Unity version (as best as possible ). The legacy .unitypackage format doesn’t support proper version management but this is something we hope to address in the near future with Package Manager support for Asset Store publishers...
