[Asset Store] Growing vegetation and trees

    Hello everyone! Im glad to present you my first Asset in Asset Store. It called Growing vegetation and trees and i hope you will like it.
    What it is? Its a system for growing any plants or trees in your game. By fact, you can grow everything what you want ;) (gameobject)
    How it works: We got phases (as much as you want), in each phase we can tune speed of growing, axises of growing, growing or decreasing and prefab for presenting changes (on trees appears leaves, fruits etc). You can create for example corn which in start will be just a small pod and in end will be collectable corn. Or apple-tree which will grow and bloom, and bloom prefab will contain pickupable apples =) then if player will not collect apples, it will drop apples and going to wilting. You free for creativity =)

    This looks really nice. Can you maybe make an english video (voice or just text) showing how to setup the system and whats needed? How are the differend states of growing calculated?

    Keep up the good work!

    P.S. Is it Unity Pro or also Unity Free?

    Got the pack. Some questions

    Is it possible to not have the skips when changing from one model to another ?

    Or to put it another way, does the system grow the middle models before changing to the next one, or just changes between models without modifying any of them ? If it is the latter, could i add more middle step models to smooth out the effect further ?

    I noticed some pop up in the more complex trees, which would prohibit use for close up forests or spells. I am not yet sure where the pop up comes from though, whether it is the change of the tree model (if there is one) or the switch to the next step model or a combination.

    EDIT: Just read the first post :), so it does have growth. It would be useful to make a demo with zero pop up/sudden changes (especially in leaves) and only one phase that grows from ground to full tree. This would be great to have :). Very nice system btw, i was looking for such.

    You can create as smooth as you want, stages is not limited =) And i making big update where i fixed flickering and add many cool stuff and features =)

    In scene in this video - around 200 GO with colliders (trees) and other without. And it runs on 70+ fps

    1. the 'seed' must be placed in editor or it works at runtime?
    2. is the system persistent? (being able to save the game objects and their growth stage)?

    Its all can be tuned. its prefabs, and you can add delete and tune every stage of the growing process, then just save prefab and you can copy paste them and selectively change values of some placed prefabs

    I have =) but its surprize =) Tomorrow all will be ready i hope. I will made video and show all new features, stuff etc, and we will need to wait when asset store team will accept update =)

    Deathrock, thanks for the responses, but I wasn't referring to saving prefabs. I was referring to actually saving the status of the game.

    For example, I have 20 full grown trees and 15 young bushes of strawbery. Is there an easy way to save them in-game and upon loading have them there?

    ohh i got it. No there is no this feature. its need to be maded for axtually game, cos maybe somebody already got saving system and it should be related to all game. By the way there is free saving system - http://u3d.as/content/ixion-software/save-game-json-binary/33x you can use this and save everything what you want =)

    You might want to cut down on bouncing around so much in the video as it made it difficult to really follow the growth of the trees, etc., but still got the gist of it.

    Aside from that, looks very interesting, couldn't resist picking this up. Very nice!

    I would like to ask about models. How many models do I need to design to make the simulation? I want to make the simulation of pomegranate fruit..What do I have to do? I will be glad if you help me through this.

    We got the same project @sabrimev but mine is about strawberry plant. I just recently buy this and want to do a detailed simulation. Can someone help ? :(
