Asset Store assets all have broken textures

    I've been trying to put together some demo scenes to test XR functionality in using Asset Store assets.

    Regardless of URP or HDRP, every package I've tried has broken textures (bright pink).
    This includes "official" Unity assets like this Book of the Dead environment:

    I tried using edit -> render pipeline -> upgrade all materials and that worked on one Synty Studios package, but seems to only have a long progress bar that ultimately achieves nothing on the other packages I've tested.

    This video seems to imply that the fix is to manually reapply every texture in every material:


    Is that really the only solution? Assuming it's just relinking to the same textures after switching to a new shader, that seems like something the "upgrade" process could be handling.

    Would love any tips on how to get asset store textures working.

    What version of URP/HDRP are you using?

    Unity 2019.3.13 and 15
    URP 7.31
    HDRP 7.31

    All the newest available.
