ive granted a refund of 1 of my assets
    the customer payed 110
i got 70 percent of that from unity as sale income
but now unity takes 110 from my account?! so the actual 100 %!!
so i ended up paying someone for buying my asset.

its sad but i will never grant a refund to anyone anymore.

    this system should be changed

Any news on this? Would seriously hate to lose you as an asset creator.

    no news, still waiting reply
dont worry, ill keep making assets but i wont be so polite anymore to grant refunds
my plan is to work on advertisement and asset description more carefully (now i sort of rush it as i dont like to do it, but i realise now its very important) im not good at selling my assets ;)
so it will be clear to buyers what to expect.
and if they do complain i can explain i described the asset and the contents the best way i can.
so there is not much i can do if they bought it without thinking about it.

That's not how it works. Say you have an asset selling for $100, and you start with $0 in your account. Someone buys it, you make $100 (gross) and keep $70 for yourself (net). Unity gets $30. That person refunds it, your account goes down by $100 (gross), so you lose $70 and Unity loses $30. You end up with $0. Not -$30.

To sum up: refunds are taken from gross, not net.
