Question Asset folders in project converted to TEMP folders?!

I am desperate to find a resolve to correct/fix what has happened to my Unity project files.

After transferring Unity project files via cloud from one computer to another, I downloaded a 2019 version of Unity (version of my project) with unity hub 2.1.3 to the new computer. After completing this installation, I realized that my project files had somehow been altered. Asset folders within my Unity projects had been replaced with TEMP files, most of which now empty.



ALL of my existing Unity project files have been affected, including external Unity project files not transferred between the computers. The Unity hub reimported assets on both computers, and while projects will open, none contain assets originally in the projects.

What am I missing here? Can someone provide insight to what has happened to my files, and how I can fix this? Your help would be greatly appreciated.
