If you carry on the way your going with this i can see this asset being best Quality asset on the store

The one thing that does worry me is from those screens the texture quality seems to good to be true
will we need to uses some type of Sparse Textures/Mega Texture system or will it require a GPU with 1-2 GB of texture memory?

Looks very good :) im making a game in a post apocalytic environment, and something like this is exactly what im looking for. I really liked the focus on high detail and good textures !

I will follow this asset , and looking forward too see where its going.

    Thanks

Sparse Texture system will not be required but we would recommend a 1GB GPU

Which part of the UK will you be focusing on? London/Metropoliton UK, or Suburbs UK?

And wouldnt yeah know it, Im making an adventure game set in a ruined post apoc London :v
Though mine involves Dragons and Powered Armored Knights...

If this is generic London, you should also do some expansion sets for particular areas like Piccadilly Circus, and Kings Cross.

Planning on the Tube as well?

A tube system hasn't been planed for this asset but you never know if we get the time we might expand on it before release

    Hmmm, Its a good start!

I take it this is a pre "End of the World" look? I think if you look through Oxford Street, Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square you can get that general London High Street look.

    Also, Red Telephone Booths :p

All our references and textures have been taken on bond street London I'm out at the moment but as soon as I'm back at my desk il upload the original reference image for comparison

This building is only draft it the moment as we still neen a couple of layers of damage and to close holes in the mesh.

We are thinking of releasing this asset as an undamaged asset then releaing the damage as a free add-on :)

I Agree, a Classic London and Post Apoc London Packs could equally boost sales!

Also, Bond Street is a wonderful little part of the city :)

I would suggest using Google Maps or Google Earth of Street Reference if you cant go outside.

    This will be completely modular
That way you will be able to create your own building variations

This is the building we are working on in the above

Everything looking excellent, as a lifelong resident of West London I personally can't wait for this!

Once suggestion though - I'd like to see a bit more of the "official" London, you know - Boris bikes, Underground signs, that distinctive red and white colour. Perhaps even a Chicken Cottage or two lol

    Anyway, great work so far!

As we build more buildings and props you will see that London look more and more

Ever wanted to see what it would look like apocalyptic?

Hi! Good job on the Post Apoc Look!

But some advice. To ramp up the post apoc look, and some good experimentation, you could try some collapsed buildings/floors, like the roof caved in or it was bombed out.

    Rendering update

I have run a few rendering tests today with great performance results

So far this asset contains 51 Assets and the screen below only contains 28 of them ;)
Once complete this asset should contain around 150 assets

    Thank you very much

    Very beautiful work once again
Its about time someone created London

How much is this going to cost me lol

it surprises me that an asset store member feels the need to put down outer asset store sellers work
i would understand if you had assets that even come close to the quality and value as tlcindies or should i now say sinister's?

from what i can see from your work is that you have used overlapping UVs to the max and totally destroyed your poly count not only that you are charging $25 for a basic well
For that kind of money with tlcindie/sinister you can get set builder new york that is a complete set

i understand your new to the asset store but dont put down other peoples work especially valued asset store sellers

This asset will be released at $60 with 2 themes
i will then expand on that to release a Sci-Fi and a race track theme that will be downloadable via the unity editor free of charge

I have created an editor extension to handle themes for the Duo asset series :)
