The moderator rejected my question, but the short answer he gave me before rejecting it is not what I was looking for and leads me to believe he misunderstood my question quite a bit. It appears he thought that I was asking how to simple declare a function, which is not what I was asking at all.

    1) How can I contact Unity Support if this happens?
    2) If someone knows the answer to my question, could you please let me know?

Here is the Answers page: http://answers.unity3d.com/questions/896854/how-do-i-run-a-function-at-runtime-that-isnt-one-o.html

There is no point. The community of answers is run mostly by users, and hosted by unity. While there are some unity staff there, the moderator decisions are final.

Post your question on the forum in a separate thread and it won't be deleted here. Don't post the question in this thread.

I'm happy to reopen it if you would rewrite your question :)

Naturally, unclear questions don't make it through the queue. Typically we also don't answer straight-up programming questions.

I'll give you a chance to rewrite. I re-read what you wrote and my suggestion of inheritance still seems to fit what you appear to be asking.

(Also, it wasn't deleted, it was rejected from moderation)

FYI @picklerok We are all reasonable. You were really expected to reply in your thread. But you didn't so it stayed rejected. We are open to requests for reopening threads; this is not a problem.

Perhaps spend a little longer Constructing your question, next time.
