Hey everyone! I wanted to share that my company Arrow Block Entertainment will be at IndyPopCon in Indianapolis this weekend all three days. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday! We'll be showcasing our new game, Pizza Blitz and allowing people to give it a try! First day was a success with many many people loving it and even some parents having to drag their kids away from the booth! If you're here or in Indy, stop by to see our booth, #945 in the 900 section.

Pizza Blitz will be released on the App Store and Google Play on August 12 and we'll be having an email list for people today! If you'd like to be on the list just ask!

Very overwhelming success! The audience there loved the game, with some saying it's the best game at the convention and they want it when it's released!

Hey there, i know it's been a few days since you posted these but just wanted to say congrats on getting your game out there and in front of people. I think it's fair to say that it's no small task to get to that point, let alone just to finish a game.

Can you talk about what the whole process of getting a booth was like. Expenses, getting test devices, promo material, etc... Are you guys local to the area, or did you have to travel there? Any things that stood out that other devs were doing? Anything you would have done differently?

Thanks, and again, congrats on getting to this point and best of luck with your game.

(btw, your website link on your sig is spelled wrong and it's not taking to your actual website. It's linking to arrowhlock.com rather than arrowblock.com)

    Cheers!

Hello! The process was pretty straight forward. Most conventions you can buy booths (even E3 for a big price!). What we did was plan ahead. Have builds ready of the game on our phones. We used our personal phones for testing, so we bought phone lock cables that we could tie to something (we used the table itself).

We also brought a TV and connected one of the iPhones to a TV so people can watch others play the games. It was successful and people enjoyed watching others play! We weren't local to the area. We're based in Cleveland, Ohio. The convention was of course in Indiana. We traveled there and ended up getting a hotel room for a few nights. We got there the night before to do final testing and planning.

Promo material were flyers, posters, etc. Things like that are great for people and people love them. We also brought an iPad so people could give us their names and emails so we can send out an email on launch day. We got a ton of people who wanted to do that and it worked out very well!

Our booth seemed pretty successful, with multiple schools, press, and websites coming to see what our game was about and ask us questions and give us their information as well as get ours for the future.

We will also be going to GDEX in Columbus in late September and we're planning a few others, too.

PS. thanks for letting me know about the signature, it's corrected now!

It's worth the work and effort for sure, to promote your game and get feedback from dozens of people playing it.

Feel free to sign up for our email for Pizza Blitz on the home page of our arrowblock.com website, we'll be sending out an email to everyone that's signed up at the conventions and from there with the links to google play and the App Store launch day! :)
