Question Are we meant to use UnityEngine.U2D.Spline?

    Using the 3D Spline is pretty inconvenient in a 2D setting, yet the editing features are very nice. I'd love access to the 2D Spline, but I'm not finding a convenient or clear way to do so.

    I'm using SpriteShapes and that's how I became aware of the 2D Spline, which is a property of SpriteShapeController. However, there is no clear way to edit a 2D Spline as that functionality seems to be built into the parent class of SpriteShapeControllerEditor, which is PathComponentEditor. So it gets pretty complicated. I was hoping there would be a 2D SplineContainer object, which is available for the 3D Splines.
