Are iPhone 5/5s graphics any different from other iOS devices, such they'd affect lighting?

I have been making a game that uses a couple spotlights to light up sprites during certain events. Strangely, as far as I can tell, on only iPhone 5's, the spotlight intensity is way brighter. On other devices I've tested (original iPod touch 5th gen, iPad mini, iPhone 6), the light is normal/same as in the Unity editor.

Also, may be related, but the spotlight cookie cutout does not work on any device.

The blown out sprites just have the basic Sprites/Diffuse shader (the trees at the top/bottom are unlit sprites).

I've attached a side-by-side visual of the Unity editor versus iPod, iPad, iPhone 6, versus iPhone 5(S). Any info/help/whatever is appreciated. Thanks!

Not overly scientific but I believe that 5s was the first iOS device to support metal...you could always try setting it to OpenGL ES , to see if that has anything to do with it..

You were correct! I disabled Metal in Unity Player Settings and it doesn't have this lighting issue on 5S now. Haven't tested on 6, so hopefully it doesn't crop up there now.

Next to figure out how to make the cookie spotlight work on mobile...

Cool...ultimately one would expect it to look the same...so if it works on devices without metal as expected...then

I'de be tempted to check with unity...as it could be a bug in the metal implementation...if you send them a bug report and sample project.
