    Hi there,
I am looking at Arduino and Uduino. Is anyone here familiar with these products?

If so, I am wondering if communication is one way, or two? Specifically, all video tutorials show real world controllers using Arduino, affecting a Unity game object.

    however, I want the reverse.

Can Unity control Arduino? An example would be, if I click a button in unity, that Arduino understands this, and I can then translate that into a real world action, for instance turning on my oven.

…… thanks in advance for any help.

Hm...I'm not sure that this forum (which is focused on Film, TV & Cinematics) is the ideal place for this question...but then as you point out what you're asking for is a little unusual.

You might look at this thread for a project called Uduino. It specifically mentions: "Control your Arduino board directly with editor."

Hope that helps. If it's not what you're after, though, I'm thinking maybe ask on that thread. At least you can be sure that folks there will have an interest in – and knowledge of – how Arduino and Unity play together. Good luck!
