ARCore is out of developer preview! Start building today high performance AR apps for Google Play and reach more than 100 million Android devices across 13 different makes and models.

The ARCore 1.0 for Unity also introduces environmental understanding improvements. With the new SDK, feature points now include an orientation, allowing you to orient AR content to the surface near the detected feature point.

    Frequently asked questions.
    • What do I need to do to publish my ARCore app in Google Play?
To publish you need to update your app to AR Required or AR Optional. AR Required means that your app is not usable without AR. AR Optional, means that your app includes AR features that are activated if the device supports ARCore. For information on how to publish your ARCore app, go here.

    • My app was developed with the ARCore SDK Preview. How do I bring it up to date?

There will only be a few minor changes to some method names that should become apparent when you try to update. Visit our forums if you need help.

    • What devices are ARCore 1.0 compatible with? Will it run on <Phone name>?
ARCore compatible devices have been vetted and calibrated by Google, ensuring that the SDK can run properly. So, if an app built with ARCore is downloaded on any one of these devices, users should expect the same level of high quality AR experiences. For now, ARCore will only run on the following devices: Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel2, Pixel2 XL, S8, S8 Plus, S7, S7 Edge, Note8, ASUS ZFAR and OnePlus5.

Google is also partnering with other manufacturers to ensure ARCore runs on their devices. Manufacturers that will support ARCore in select models in the near future include: Huawei, LGE, Motorola, ASUS, Xiaomi, HMD/Nokia, ZTE, Sony Mobile, and Vivo.

    Hooray!

So this means the API is firmly fixed without more breaking changes, right? :)

I get a 404 not found on that link.

This still recommends installing arcore-preview2.apk. Is there an updated version of that?

Guys, the download on the website still have the old package and every info is outdated.
I had to download the source from git to make it work on S7 Edge.

I wouldn't think so... There will be some breaking changes from version to version, like the way we have with GVR SDK

Hey guys, I see the list of devices on the OP but the list on this link includes a few more, like samsung A5.
Does anyone know if these devices from google's list are supported by Unity's implementation of ARCore or not?
