Basically all I want to be able to do is turn the planes that have been detected on/off in the AR view.
I don't want to turn off the detection of planes, I just want it to stop being rendered. I've tried reading through the documentation by Apple but it is really confusing and borderline useless. Any and all help is appreciated.

    Hello Thomas,

With planes, are you talking about Horizontal surface ?

Do you want to stop tracking of planes, if its already detected and loaded a grid ?

Please explain with help of video or screenshots, to help me understand the issue you facing.

    Thanks,
    Paramjot Singh

Yes horizontal surface planes. I just want the rendering on screen to be off. I dont want the gameobjects to be deleted or anything, just want them to not be displayed anymore on screen when I toggle it off.

Like a toggle/button (UI) that can turn it off and on.

But when you detect the surface, it shows AR Content connected to surface you scanned. If you disable the mesh that is rendered, that means you need to detect again.

I can give a try for this task, if you need, but that will take some time, like 6-8 Hours to test this part.

Just wondering, will you be able to pay for my time ?

Planes have materials on them. You can just turn down the Alpha of this material so it would become invisible. It will be there but you will not see it.
