    I'm not sure what could be causing it. It seems that for whatever reason, the GPU suddenly takes longer to process the frame. Perhaps another process is using the GPU in the background? System wide profilers like Windows Performance Analyzer or GPUView might reveal what's going on better. Unity's profiler is based on measuring how long the operation takes but it cannot see if the thread/GPU was preempted.
