Application.reload stuck

Hi, my unity is stuck at Application.Relead. This happened the other night and was stuck for around an hour before I just had to force close unity causing a loss of work. Does anyone know if there is a way i can cancel the this so I dont need to completely shut out of unity and losing work?

 

One of the comments here suggests to right click the project folder and open the properties window. No idea why it works but it does. I also found that if I have Visual Studio open closing it will do the same. But I came across a circumstance where I wasn't using the IDE and was at a loss. the post post below with the previously mentioned solution helped.

Had to sign in to comment that right clicking the folder and opening the properties worked immediately. Witchcraft.
