Question Apple StoreKit 2

    Hi, we have been using Unity IAP in our project for a long time, and Apple has recently announced StoreKit 2 which is available for iOS 15+. More information: https://developer.apple.com/storekit/

    As a summary, StoreKit 2 brings numerous benefits, including the ability to manage subscriptions within the app, validating receipts more securely on the client, and restoring purchases automatically on app launch.

    My questions are:
    1. Does the Unity IAP team have plans to support StoreKit 2 in upcoming versions of the plugin?
    2. If so, is there a roadmap or timeline we can expect StoreKit 2 to be integrated into Unity IAP?

    Due to the numerous benefits of StoreKit 2, we're assessing whether we should continue sticking with Unity IAP or use another solution. Thank you in advance!

    @td-ys Yes, we are working to support StoreKit2 in an upcoming release. No ETA yet, but should be within Q1 of this year.

    Hi, is there any update on this? Will we be required to upgrade to Store Kit 2 or can we keep using version 1?

    The requirements will be up to Apple, but I'm sure there will be an overlap period. We are currently looking at Q4/2022 to Q1/2023 for StoreKit2 support.

    Hello,

    There has been some delays on SK2 support.
    It is still planned, but we are now looking to start in Q1 2023.

    SK2 support is still delayed, but support for it is planned to be in 2023.
