Apparent Issue with Unity Fireworks in the Beta Assets

    The fireworks test just fine when I'm watching particle playback in scene view, but when I hit play, they frequently explode without the colorful bits. Just smoke and sparks.

    The view has a camera, a plane, and the firework emitter, unmodified.

    Thoughts?

    Some testing shows that the number of fireworks fx in the screen doesn't appear to affect the amount of "dud" spark-less fireworks

    I'm not trying to be obnoxious here, but I still haven't received any kind of response. I would like some information on this.

    Is it happening for other people?

    Well, I can't speak for anyone else in the community, but I have zero idea what you are talking about. What are unity fireworks? What are beta assets? Are you using some kind of asset from the asset store?

    Sorry, I'll be more clear.


    The "beta assets" in question:

    The fireworks are the sample fireworks inside of the "sample assets - effects - particles - prefabs - fireworks."

    See, they don't explode reliably when the game actually executes. In particle preview mode the fireworks consistently explode, but when the game starts they seemingly randomly explode without any color whatsoever. Just smoke.

    Is there any other information I can give to help? :)

    Hi!

    I'm not sure how to politely bring this up again. It's been a few months and I was hoping someone might have noticed this or had a solution by now. If no one else is having this issue and it's just me, any idea why that might be?

    It happens on my builds of the game that go to tablet, too. And my tester's computers, not just on my rig.

    Would a video clarify things?
