Curious if anyone has tried this tool? It looks interesting, but at $200 it's a bit steep without some prior feedback. Please let me know if you've used it and your thoughts?

    Thanks...

    Hello,
yes I do. It's just great. You can develop complex GUI, design it in the Game view, wysiwyg.
The guy at Avam Studios is answering questions, product is version 1 but already ready to use.

It took 1 day to develop 1 options+parameters screen for my game...

If you have questions, don't hesitate.

I am also interested, can anyone who has also tried other Visual GUI editors such as GUIX and EZGUI please tell us how this one compares?

    Hello,

you can check on www.avamstudios.com, 4 videos show how it works.

I also have EZGui and I would say if you are just about to build a simple interface (options, level, etc), then you would probably prefer iGUI.

If you want to keep a good FPS, then you have to turn to EZGui, but it's a little bit more complicated. EZGui is not using GUI (performances...). All objects are 3D objects and one would use a ISO camera to display the GUI. EZGui + SM2 is a very good bundle to keep high performances and build nice GUI.

hmm anything about the performance? What fps do you get in an empty scene with a panel and a few buttons for example?
Looks good, but also a bit expensive for indie development.
    Any Feedback would be nice.
Ah and one more thing ... does it work well with different aspect ratios / screen resolutions?

Will iGUI let you display 3D in the background?

sure. you can change the opacity. this is a standard feature of the GUI in Unity. a property to change from 0 to 1.

@jackfish: What is this library using to render? Controlled Mesh instances or DrawMesh?

You'd think it would be possible to plug a different renderer into it, such as something along the lines you're suggesting. Does anyone know if this comes with the source code?
