I'm fairly new to Unity animation and tools, but am hitting a very strange and crippling problem that I can't find any existing threads on. I'm in 2020.3.32f1.

I set up a very simple animation graph for a 2d rigged asset where almost all transitions came from the Any State node. Then my animator duplicated an animation file as the base for a new animation. When I add that animation as a motion to any node on the graph, I stop being able to select the Any State node, and sometimes other nodes as well. I haven't found a way around this. And it feels like sometimes the Animator window starts chugging significantly. Has anyone seen anything remotely like this?

    Hello,

This is a known bug that was introduced in 2020.3.31f1, and was fixed in 2020.3.33f1. It should also be fixed in the recent 2021 LTS.

Unity 2020.3.31f1 and 2020.3.32f1 are basically useless, and there should really be a warning saying so with a bug this debilitating.

Thank you so much. I feel dumb for not being able to find that information, but it's all working now. You're a hero.
