Any schools or platforms offering longer remote courses?

    Hey there!

Start of next year I am going to go into some kind of "sponsored" training phase and I am in search for a training fitting that bill.
While the price is not an issue (it's paid for), it would need to have a length of 300h (or close to 300h if I combine it with other trainings). Also it would need to be remote.

While there are a few certifications available at Unity, and Unity offers two "Pathways" (Unity Essentials and Unity Programmer) these are rather short (they don't even have an "official" estimate but the blog mentions 60h for the second training). Same goes for all the trainings at Coursera and udemy.

So far I only had a quick look into unity several years ago, and around the same time I learnt some C#, so with a refresher I'd call myself on Beginner level there (also learnt beginner level of some other languages like C++, python, php and like 25 years ago also tookbook and hypercard). I would like to get deeper into unity and at the same time become proficient in c#.

I checked universities, but these mostly only offer on site trainings (even during corona) or programs which take like 4 years (I am aiming for 300-700h, about 1 1/2 years).

The only offering I found which fits the format is by cg spectrum (9 months, 20h per week). But guess what...that training is for Unreal Engine in C++

Are you aware of any other schools offering something like this remotely for Unity and C#? Could be anywhere in the world, as long as the language is either English or German. Also the "degree" doesn't really matter that much, as long as you get some certificate for more than "has participated".

Would be very grateful for any suggestions!

    Hi there!

The Unity Learn Platform (https://learn.unity.com/) has over 750 hours of on-demand and live learning resources to help you bring your vision to life. While there's no certificate for using the platform at large, it does track the relevant skills you've utilized, and you can view them all via your profile.

Our pathways both end with a badge from Credly Acclaim that you can share on your LinkedIn page. The Unity Essentials (https://learn.unity.com/pathway/unity-essentials) is a great place to begin. It has an estimated ~17.5 hours of content, and will get you comfortable with using the Unity interface and publishing your first projects. The Junior Programmer pathway (https://learn.unity.com/pathway/junior-programmer) focuses on C# fundamentals, prototyping, version control, and optimization. It has an estimated ~75.5 hours of content. Both may take longer than the estimated time depending on how much you put into the 20 projects that are part of these pathway

Some of our Unity Certification programs have related study courseware. The instructional material for the Professional Programmer Certification has 8+ hours of video content, but also has 15+ coding challenges that you complete. You can find more information here: https://unity.com/products/unity-certifications/professional-programmer

    Thanks Maru.
Unfortunately these will not qualify for the program I am looking to do, as they basically need to be "officially" over 300h in length and have a certification, pretty much in black and white.

For those interested and accidently speaking German I found something though.

That's a online training with a duration of 15 months, 8 hours per week (but flexible time allocation) which gives you a certificate at the end. It's German though, you don't need to be located in Germany though to take it.
