As a starting point, what's the game about, and where does it take place?

Zero Conductor? It really depends on what the game's about.

As echoed above, your name needs to make sense. You can throw a couple cool words together and call it a game name, but when it has little to do with the game, it almost comes off as puerile - like we just perused a thesaurus until a name that sounds awesome showed up.

One example that comes to mind that bugged me was in Pacific Rim (movie). The main character's mech suit was called Gypsy Danger. And the base of operations was called Shatterdome.

While the words might sound cool, they don't make a whole lot of sense (in my opinion), and just sound like a 13 year old was coming up with cool XBOX Live account names, and those were rejected names that he passed on to the movie writers.

    Oh.

In that case, I can see why you are having trouble naming it. I would too.

If it really has no theme other than "Shoot people in space", then you might be best off using a thesaurus to find cool words to name it. Disregard what I said before in that case.

    Destiny? Mass Effect? Halo?

Plenty of cool names for FPS games.

How about "Tales of the Frailled"? Or "Sitoop Sector"?

Do you have a WIP thread where we can see the progress so far? Pictures and videos of the game would help as far as naming goes.

If you have not started yet, just use a temporary placeholder name and get to work on making the game. Something simple like "Futuristic FPS Game" would be fine as a title in the initial development stages.

This is good advice. Just use a placeholder, a name will suggest itself as gameplay emerges. Pond Wars was only called Pond Wars very late in the piece. The working title for it was 'buoyancy simulator game'. There are also plenty of examples of this on much bigger games.

I came up with FPS Planet until I come up with anything else because that was the name of a project I started like 2 yrs ago and I lost the data for it so I'm just gonna use the name

Unless someone can confuse your product with a audio device it shouldn't matter.

It could be a trademark infringement if there is any possibility consumers will be confused by your branding. Why not use 3217 AD instead?

Which on this note there is a game series now owned by Ubisoft where the titles for each game is a number either preceded by "Anno" or proceeded by "A.D.".

In general you should be pretty safe with dates and the term AD. Its use is fairly generic. One can hardly argue that 1701 AD has a stronger association with Ubisoft then it does with the year by the same name.

Here is a clip of gameplay so u can see the weapon design. The map is just a placeholder and it probably will be in space and not on earth

The design for the weapons is what the design of the maps will be

Dont worry about a name until you are somewhat progressed as its really irrelevant with such low progress as shown in the video.
