I'm very much looking for 5.0.1p1 -- (current version is 5.0.1f1) -- because I'm using Substance Designer 5 and apparently that's the 1st version where they'll work together.

Any word on release for that upcoming version?

Hate to say it, but probably "when it's ready". :)
Not sure they've mentioned a release date, publicly,
    but maybe I missed it.

We originally had it scheduled for tomorrow, but I think we're going to be late - hopefully it'll be sometime this week.

(We're currently at over 100 fixes in this next patch, so testing it will take a bit longer than usual).

Yeah, this is like a three-pig-level patch.

(Actually only about 5 of the fixes are mine ;) )

Hmm, so what's the deal for the other devs and their 95+ fixes? Do we need to ramp up our offerings from bacon, through McD, and pizza, to even more exotica?

I'd say just give superpig more bacon. Any overflow can easily be distributed!

I think it's naive to assume there'd be any overflow where bacon is involved :p

I'm not altogether sure that I like the sound of "bacon overflow"

When I worked as busboy we'd have stacks of bacon like that and yes baking in a oven that quantity of bacon will make you queasy with the smell of bacon grease.

I feel like I'm updating wrong. Do I have to download the full installer every time I want to update Unity? That's 5.3 GB just to bump from version 5.0 to 5.0.1.

No idea where you're getting 5.3GB from - the Editor is a 1.2GB download and the other components are smaller. It's maybe 2GB at most.

1.2GB is still large; we're working on breaking it up into smaller pieces.

My bad. I was looking at the Installed Size.

But the Download Assistant is the proper way to update as well as do a new install, correct? Just want to make sure I'm not missing some option within the editor itself or something.

Yes, that's the correct way to do it. There's no 'binary diff' updater or anything like that.

what's the word on the update for p3? As my project relies quite a bit on the tri-planar node for dirt, blood , grime and fabrics.

5.0.1p1 kind of works with most SD5 nodes. But the tri planar still needs something more -- there's a node attached to one of the posts here that'll work: https://forum.allegorithmic.com/index.php?topic=4838.0

However there still seems to be more issues w/ U5 and SD5 together.
