Hi, I am interested in learning how to make a Hack 'n' Slash game as a little personal project, but I'm unable to find a good tutorial that covers the exact thing I wish to learn. All I mostly keep finding are either 2D tutorials or Diablo and Dark Souls styled game tutorials, and while they all may seem like good tutorials, I mostly wish to make something along the lines of DMC, Metal Gear Rising, Nier Automata, or Scarlet Nexus, just to name a few examples. If you also have any tips on working on these projects, I would greatly appreciate it as well.

    Thank you in advance! :)

Hi and welcome to the community.
Your best starting point, is to split the project into multiple problems.
    Mechanics, controls, UI etc.
Each of can be split into sub problems.
Start tackling them one by one.

However, if you never did any programming or game dev before, you are best to start with small game like a pong.
This way you will learn basics and get a concept, of what it takes, to make a game.

I was actually learning Unity a bit slower, and I got the hang of the basics to the point of being able to make 2 or 3 games by now. (One was a simplistic 2D shooter, while the other one was a platformer, and now I recently got into working on 3D games, with one of them being a nearly complete racing game, while the newer projects I'm working on are a third person exploration game, and the Hack 'n' Slash in the style of games that I mentioned above, like DMC for example. While the Dark Souls tutorial was helpful with understanding how the player moves or how to animate the character, it's still far from what i'm planning to work on. Even though I was asking for help with finding a good tutorial, because I had no luck with finding any proper ones for that specific style of games, I'm still thankful for your response.

You'd be better off asking questions about parts you're having problem with.

Because if you can make a twin stick shooter that has dash mechanic, you should be able to make a hack and slash.

The main difference between hack and slash and dark souls is that dark souls heavily driven by root motion. Hack and slash uses capsule movement, and root motion or predetermined animation only kicks in on special moves.
