    Good evening,

I'm having trouble with the navmesh not being aligned to my terrain and objects. It causes NPCs to wander around above the terrain looking all stupid and stuff.

This picture shows the problem. In many places it's lots worse:

I tried playing around with the navmesh bake settings for the terrain, but doesn't seem to make much of a difference.

Any suggestions..? Or is this simply as good as it gets? :-|

The navmesh is an approximation of the walkable geometry.
But if you enable "Height Mesh" in the bake settings and rebake
    - you should see you navmeshagents move around at terrain height.
(navmesh debug gfx will still be off).

    Cheers..
    /Jakob

Thanks! I also found that reducing Navigation -> Bake -> Advanced -> Height Inaccuracy helped a lot.
