[Announce] Voice Chat / VOIP

    So this isn't VoIP.

    We as the app developers need to do Calls routing according to their client list and their connection requests?

    Is this distributed as source?

    I'll probably have to turn off voice detection in for of a PTT switch because I want to try it on HW poor devices.

    VoIP = Voice over IP, so yes that's exactly what it is. It has nothing to do with video.

    Source come with it.

    Does the package support playing the audio from a specific game object and thus supporting 3d positional audio, and dropping volume with range using the transform position relative to another transform position?

    Yes it does, you can attach the audio sources to your player objects if you want.

    It does work on iPad, it *should* work on iPhone, but I have not been able to test it. Same with android.

    I thought that would be the case but am having some issues on my side. I never claimed to be a programmer and bought this plug-in to help w/ voice chat. I can get it to work on the unity side BUT NEED it to work on PUN. kind of at a loss on what to chage in the network proxy script and where to put it since I want to keep the gui of photon and add voice chat gui once the game has started

    RobbynB: I have another guy who did get everything to work on PUN properly (took him about an hour or so), I am not sure exactly how he set it up but I can try to get a hold of him and ask if I can PM you his details.

    How can I test this locally? There's a local debug setting, but it still seems to want a client and server running. I tried with a standalone build as server, but then editor client says ports in use.

    As long as you can send the following data types: byte[] and int it should be possible to use with Player.IO, however it does not work out of the box with Player.IO

    I am writing to you cause I have bought your plugin and i wanted to ask you briefly how would you recommend me to implement it to my already existing project. I have a simple networking setup in javascript and in my game i will have only two clients(two characters).

    Hello, I have just purchased your software and I too would like this to work with a non-dedicated server. I have a server running with a single client connecting. I would like client to server voice but am having trouble dissecting your code. Could you please provide some pointers on how this would be possible?

    Hi, I recently purchased the Voice Chat software. I am able to get the demo to run when using the local debug setting. However, if I create a server and two clients by connecting them all to the server's IP address, I can hear no sound. Am I not setting this up properly? I am fairly new to Unity so any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Does this thread get supported anymore? Can this product be used to setup multi client conference chat inside Unity 3D is there any demo app with this product demonstrating this kinda usage?

    Hey guys,

    Just downloaded this from the author's github, and I'm curious if anyone ever solved the puzzle of trying to have audio captured from the mic played through an audio source game object in a scene INSTEAD of just sort of playing "outside" the game as it were. I don't need a regular voice chat solution, instead I want players to be able to communicate through speaker objects in the game world.

    any suggestions as to getting this working would be GREATLY appreciated!

    and integrated unity services to that solution and did required modifications.Now Everything is working fine,able to get voice communication in both instances that is server to client and viceversa.But client connection keeps breakdown when time passes beyond 1minute.Could anyone help me to figure out this issue
