Ok so I animated my character... I import it into unity... All is fine...

But when I drop it into my scene it's rotation has changed so my character is face down... I rotate it back to what it should be however it appears all animation of the root bone still has the same rotation as on import.

Which results in my player jumping forwards rather than upwards.

Also when I use the 3rd person animation controller as used in the lerpiz demo when I jump it repeatedly loops and wont stop (even when the player hits the ground) - it just carries on looping rather than playing the "jumpfall" animation it should play.

I have checked all the naming's of my animations are the same as lerpiz on import.

Anyways any help and/or fixes would be appreciated!
    Adam.

In general, you can always stick an animated figure into an empty gameobject and then rotate it.

Note that the linked thread, which suggests getting the FBX export right in the first place is still your best option, but in many cases simply sticking the object in a gameobject is useful.
